The nominees for the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards are in and we have the Best Feature and Best Female and Male Lead. Leading the awards this year in Best Feature are The Artist, Take Shelter, Drive, The Descendants, 50/50 and Beginners.

In the Best Female Lead category the nominees are Lauren Ambrose (Think Of Me), Rachel Harris (Natural Selection), Adepero Oduye (Pariah), Elizabeth Olson (Martha Marcy May Marlene) and Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn).

The Best Male Lead category includes, Demian Bichir (A Better Life), Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Ryan Gosling (Drive), Woody Harrelson (Rampart) and Michael Shannon (Take Shelter).
